How long can my event last?

Wedding ceremonies are based on a one and a half hour rental. Wedding receptions vary by package. Because we are located in a residential neighborhood, all events taking place beyond 10 p.m. must be held indoors and comply with local noise ordinances.

Are we able to host a rehearsal?

Yes. A complimentary thirty minute rehearsal, held the day before your wedding, is included with each ceremony reservation.

What amenities are furnished with my reservation?

The Paine Art Center and Gardens furnishes appropriate ceremony chairs as well as tables and chairs for wedding dinners and receptions. Our event managers are able to share a list of local recommended vendors for your additional supply and equipment needs.

Are you available for holiday weekends?

Yes! The rate for Sunday before Memorial Day and Labor Day as well as the day before Fourth of July is the Saturday rate. Memorial Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day rates are the Saturday rate plus $500. We are not available for rentals on Christmas Eve and Day.

Do you host multiple weddings on one date?

With many different packages available, we often host more than one rental event on a date. However, we only allow one wedding ceremony or reception at a time to take place on our property.

Will the property be open to the public during my event?

The Paine Art Center and Gardens is open to the public between the hours of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Events taking place after 4:00 p.m. will have private use of the grounds.

Can we take wedding photos inside the mansion?

Mansion photography sessions may be reserved separately or may be added to your ceremony or reception reservation. Please see our photography session rates for details.

Can my guests tour the current exhibition in the mansion?

Upon request, a special reservation may be made so that your wedding guests may tour the mansion. An additional fee will apply. Guests may also purchase admission during our normal business hours to experience the museum and the current exhibition.

When is the rental fee due?

A down-payment of 50% is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due six months prior to your event.

Is a security deposit required?

Yes. A$300 security deposit (ceremony) or $500 security deposit (ceremony with reception) is required. The deposit is refundable 21 days after the event.

What are your catering policies?

All food and beverage for Paine weddings is provided through our catering partner, Zuppas. We do not allow carry-ins.

Can we bring in a cake or cupcakes?

Where should my guests park?

Guests may park along Algoma Boulevard and Congress Avenue. A private lot for Paine guests is located at 1313 Elmwood Avenue. Guests needing handicap parking and those with mobility issues are encouraged to use our new parking lot, located on the north side of the Paine Mansion off Algoma Boulevard.

Do I need a photography permit to take photos on the grounds?

Yes, a photography permit is required to take professional photos on our grounds. These permits are part of our photography session rental offerings. A photography permit (gardens only) is included with all ceremony and reception rentals.

When should I call to reserve a photography session?
